The next two Syracuse-based segments of celebrity chef Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" show will make their Food Network debut this month

Byblos Mediterranean Cafe, 223 N. Clinton St., is featured in the episode called "Authentic Eats." It debuts at 10 p.m. Dec. 10 and airs again at 1 a.m. Dec. 11 and 3 p.m. Dec. 14.

"This trip, Guy's finding real deal authentic eats in unusual spots," the episode description says. " .... In Syracuse, N.Y., the tiny Mediterranean cafe crankin' out first-class falafel and baklava."

Funk 'n Waffles gets the Fieri treatment in an episode that debuts Christmas Eve. It's called "Far Out."

"This trip, Guy's honing in on spots doing it different," the episode description says. "In Syracuse, N.Y., the basement joint rockin' out waffles with their fried chicken, and with a full blown Thanksgiving dinner."
That episode airs at 10 p.m. Dec. 24, then again 1 a.m. Dec. 25 and 9 p.m. Jan. 4.

Fieri filmed segments of his show at several Syracuse restaurants in August, when he was also in town for an appearance at the State Fair.

A segment shot at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub and Restaurant in Armory Square had its first airing on Nov. 12. A segment filmed at Pastabilities will have its debut at 1 p.m. Dec. 17. 

Segments were also shot at Eva's European Sweets and Empire Brewing Co.
